What is Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP?

CAP technology is an emerging technology in aesthetic and medical sciences. It is a form of electromagnetic wave therapy and is commonly used in the treatment of chronic wounds. It has been proven popular in applications to skin concerns due to its ability to accelerate healing, while reducing the bacterial load on the skin, without negative effects.

Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP is a unique treatment machine that delivers CAP directly to the skin’s surface, increasing its safety and efficacy, while increasing its healing power to heal skin conditions.

The Science

  1. Triggering growth factors in the skin cell to increase regeneration rate

When the skin has been exposed to long term use of certain medications, the skin cells are immunomodulated and their regeneration rate is significantly reduced, causing slow recovery and extremely weak and sensitive skin. Contact CAP directly reverses the effects of these medications by triggering the growth factors of the skin cells back to a normal rate. This is similar to working a muscle that has not moved for a long period of time.

Weekly sessions are required at the start of treatment to rebuild the skin’s strength; the duration and frequency of treatment can be reduced once the skin cell’s regeneration rate is stable.

2. Eradicates ‘bad’ bacteria and fungus

The second function of Ultra Pulse Contact CAP is killing ‘bad’ bacteria and fungal growth on the skin. When pathogens on the skin and in the air come into contact with CAP, they react with its unstable atoms (radicals such as ozone). These alter the lipids, proteins and nucleic acids of the bacteria, killing them or rendering them harmless.

3. Micro-exfoliation for hardened skin

Contact CAP produces electrons and various ions. These electrons bounce off the skin’s surface, acting as a very fine exfoliator on the skin. This exfoliation is gentle enough for even sensitive and damaged skin.

How is our treatment different?

CAP therapy has wide applications, with its main application being beauty and aesthetics. The Ultra-Pulse Contact CAP machine has been specially calibrated to be used on sensitive, damaged, and wounded skin.

Dr. Chanchai Chutsirimongkol has achieved the difficult task of delivering CAP directly to the skin via contact on the skin’s surface, increasing its efficacy and safety as well as its wound healing power. Our device does not use any needles and is non-invasive and non-ablative, making it different from the rest.

Who is this treatment for?

We currently treat men and women aged 18 and above, who wish to address a skin concern or achieve healthy skin. The skin conditions we can treat are: Acne, Seborrheic Dermatitis, Fungal Infections and Topical Steroid Withdrawal.

The treatment is also suitable for those seeking skin rejuvenation for anti-ageing purposes. It is effective in treating fine lines and wrinkles.

 Procedure & Aftercare

What is the procedure like?

It is a priority of ours to ensure that you feel safe and comfortable during your treatment. The treatment itself is very relaxing and sometimes people fall asleep!

Upon arrival, we will take pictures of your skin to track your progress. After which, your treatment begins - all you have to do is lie down and relax and our nurses/therapists will perform the treatment on you.

For those requiring treatment on large areas of the body, please come in comfortable clothing that can be removed easily.

How long do I need per session?

*How long each treatment session depends on the surface area requiring treatment. Here are some rough estimates of treatment time needed per area. Do note that these timings are for estimation purposes only; actual treatment time depends on your ski…

How often do I need treatment?

You will begin treatment at a frequency of once a week. When your skin has become sufficiently stronger, you may extend treatment to once every 10 days, then 14 days, once a month and so forth, until you are independent of treatment. How quickly your skin becomes stronger and independent enough depends on your condition baseline and other lifestyle factors.

What must I do after treatment and is there any downtime?

The treatment creates nanopores on the skin which allow deeper and more efficient absorption of products into the skin’s layers. However, these nanopores also cause the skin to be more sensitive to environmental irritants and allergens 48 hours after the treatment.

We advise taking plenty of rest straight after treatment and avoiding any known irritants/allergens in your surroundings during these 48 hours.
